[11 May 09] IGV Institut für Getreideverarbeitung GmbH in Nuthetal/Bergholz-Rehbrücke also participates in the nation-wide "day of the open company in the state of Brandenburg" on Saturday, 16 May 2009.
Visitors will gain comprehensive insights into research and development, especially in the areas of bakery products, food technology and milling: The offer includes bakery technology and hands-on technology, labs and technical schools to be visited. "Cross-business trainee instruction" and the training centre for bakers and confectioners can be experienced first-hand, and visitors can learn all about the possibilities of technical, practice-oriented training and further training.
On this day, pupils who will soon finish school and need to find out what career to pursue will have a chance to get to know the professions of baker and confectioner, specialised shop assistant, chemistry and biology laboratory technician, and be introduced to options for further development after the end of their professional training (master craftsman, technical college or university).

In the institute's biotechnology department, visitors can watch algae grow and hear about the manifold possibilities of algae for food, pharmaceutics, cosmetics and energy generation. Video clips will present the institute's projects around the world.

All around, visitors will gain a view of a healthy future!
