[19 Jan 12] Kick-off Meeting EU Project FOODSCAN
On 16th and 17th of January 2012 the Kick-off Meeting for the "FOODSCAN" EU-Project took place at IGV Institute for Cereal Processing.
Within the Seventh Framework Research Programmme- FP7 (part of the action “Research for the benefit of SMEs) the activities will be performed for the development of novel biosensors for the determination of data on pesticide residues in foods, in order to facilitate the monitoring of food quality making this overall process significantly safer. This project brings together companies from Greece, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus and Germany, and research institutes from Greece and the UK.
IGV Institute for Cereal Processing has taken over the Coordination role of the project and will provide its own services, particularly those in the field of testing the new methods and the equipment.
